I picked this up about a month ago from Luka at Lil Seiko Shop for $400 and put a $40 tropic on it, hoping I would bond with it, and, if I didnt, I could turn it around as this model in this condition is supposed to be rare. It has now sat here for over a month with some interest, but no takers, so I am re-posting at a lower price and will take a look at any reasonable offers. Price includes PayPal fees and shipping to CONUS; it is also on eBay for the international set and you can make me an offer there so I can ship it through their system.
Represented to me as being from February 1973 and original, and I believe it. 41mm case, 18mm lug width. No corrosion or moisture damage on the dial, indices, or lume plots. The orange dial still looks fantastic. Original bezel turns both ways. Date and day turn over correctly; quickset is for date only, as designed. Running beautifully on the couple of days Ive had it. I put it on a NOS Italian-made tropic strap (strap is actually 19mm but I squeezed it on.)
All in all a very nice vintage Seiko that is very tough to find in this condition, is just sitting in my watch box, and needs to go to a new home.
I have impeccable feedback here, both sides.
