I am selling my rare 1970s Heuer Solunar 679.603It is a rare reference from the iconic brand in fantastic condition.
It measures the tide (low/high) over a period of two weeks by manipulating the outer and inner bezels.
A very cool complication if you are yachting and or fishing! I bought the watch last year form the son of the Heuer importer in Athens, Greece.
It had been in his collection and had never been sold. Unfortunately he cannot find its original box and papers.
It is functioning well after a light revision (oils etc) to the ETA 2792.
The outer bezel turns both ways. The inner bezel rotates with the lower crown.
The upper crown manipulates the time and date.
The only defect I can see is a very slight mark on the dial between the 6 and 7 markers and a few light scratches on the case back from the watch makers tools. The reference is visible on the inner lug. (please refer to pictures).
It comes on its original Heuer steel bracelet.
Included in the sale is a NOS vintage tropic strap.
The watch will be shipped in a generic travel case. From my own research this reference is present on the Heuer catalogues only in 1976, 77 and 78.Case width: 45mm including overhanging bezel / 42mm at the caseCase height: 45mmCase thickness: 13mmLug width: 19mmStraps: 1 Original Heuer metal bracelet, Original vintage tropic strap with 16mm buckle.Caliber: ETA 2791-1 Shock Protected - day dateI am asking for 3450 euros including shipping insured by Courier to the EU.
